It was all a dream.

Greetings!

My name is Zoe Wells, and I am a proud graduating senior at Florida A&M University, majoring in broadcast journalism. Though I hail from LaBelle, FL, my roots run deep in West Palm Beach, FL.

My passion for journalism began in childhood, shaped by the meaningful conversations I shared with my father. Each morning, I would wake up to the sound of the local news playing in the background as he sat with his newspaper and a cup of black coffee. He was a strong, tough police officer who rarely showed the toll of his job—except when he engaged with the news. Seeing how deeply stories could move him, I realized the profound impact of storytelling. I wanted to be the one telling those stories, the kind that inform and spark conversation.

With my mother’s guidance in public speaking and my father’s unwavering strength as inspiration, I set out to make this dream a reality. At Florida A&M University, I immersed myself in the art of storytelling, working tirelessly to hone my craft. My journey has led me to incredible opportunities, including an internship with USA Today’s Trending News Team, writing for The FAMUAN, and taking on roles as a Producer and MMJ for FAMU-TV 20.

As I take the next step in my career, I remain committed to uncovering stories that matter, giving a voice to the unheard, and bringing truth to the forefront.
